In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet wallaby applique.
If you would like to view the crochet pattern for free, it’s on my website at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-wallaby-pattern or you can download it from Ravelry at ravelry.com/patterns/library/wallaby for $1 at and LoveCrafts at lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/wallaby-crochet-pattern-by-kerris-crochet
You can also subscribe to Kerri’s Crochet Newsletter and get a free copy of the Crochet Cat Towel eBook at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-pattern-ebook-and-newsletter
For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colour (074) Mercury. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Black embroidery thread to embroider on the eye if desired.
The finished size will be 14cm wide x 8cm high (5.5” wide x 3” high) for the larger wallaby, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the wallaby in Catona will be 13cm wide x 8cm high (5” wide x 3” high). The medium wallaby will be 10.5cm wide x 6cm high (4” wide x 3” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small wallaby will be 8cm wide x 5cm high (3” wide x 2” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
