In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet submarine applique.
If you would like to view the crochet pattern for free, it’s on my website at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-submarine-pattern or you can download it from Ravelry at ravelry.com/patterns/library/submarine-7 for $1 at and LoveCrafts at lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/submarine-crochet-pattern-by-kerris-crochet
You can also subscribe to Kerri’s Crochet Newsletter and get a free copy of the Crochet Cat Towel eBook at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-pattern-ebook-and-newsletter
For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (208) Yellow Gold, (146) Vivid Blue and (173) Bluebell. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Thread and needle to stitch the submarine together.
The finished size will be 18cm wide x 14cm high (7” wide x 5.5” high) for the larger submarine, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the submarine in Catona will be 15cm wide x 11.5cm high (6” wide x 4.5” high). The medium submarine will be 14cm wide x 10cm high (5.5” wide x 4” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small submarine will be 10cm wide x 7cm high (4” wide x 2.75” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
