In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet bucket and spade applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colors (115) Hot Red, (106) Snow White and (172) Light Silver. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. A bead for the middle of the flower.
The finished size will be 5cm wide x 6.5cm high (1.75” wide x 2.5” high) for the larger bucket and 2.5cm wide x 5.5cm high (1” wide x 2.25” high) for the larger spade, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the bucket in Catona will be 4cm wide x 6cm high (0.5” wide x 2.25” high) and 2cm wide x 5cm high (0.75” wide x 2” high) for the spade. The medium bucket will be 3.5cm wide x 5cm high (1.5” wide x 2” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton and the spade will be 2cm wide x 4cm high (0.75” wide x 1.5” high). The small bucket will be 2.5cm wide x 3.5cm high (1” wide x 1.5” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton and the spade will be 1.5cm wide x 3cm high (0.5” wide x 1.25” high).
