In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet boy applique.

If you would like to view the crochet pattern for free, it’s on my website at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-boy-pattern or you can download it from Ravelry at ravelry.com/patterns/library/boy-5 for $1 at and LoveCrafts at lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/boy-crochet-pattern-by-kerris-crochet

You can also subscribe to Kerri’s Crochet Newsletter and get a free copy of the Crochet Cat Towel eBook at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-pattern-ebook-and-newsletter

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (130) Old Lace, (162) Black Coffee, (115) Hot Red and (254) Moon Rock. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Thread and needle to stitch the boy together. Black thread for embroidery if desired.

The finished size will be 9cm wide x 19cm high (3.5” wide x 7.5” high) for the larger boy, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the boy in Catona will be 6.5cm wide x 15.5cm high (2.5” wide x 6” high). The medium boy will be 5cm wide x 12cm high (2” wide x 4.75” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small boy will be 4cm wide x 9cm high (1.5” wide x 3.5” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
