Shooting log footage in any format for those new to the profile can leave stomachs churning when you first see the footage. This is a waypoint in my path to perfect shallow underwater footage shot with the Hero 12 Black. Given in log we don't have the option to control the exposure bias, so far as I know, the result after dropping the GoPro Hero 12 LUT from the GoPro website often leads to specular highlights on corals that looks similar to extreme over exposure.
I'm getting close to figuring it all out and will have a full explanation video in due course. At this point I'm enjoying the process and getting in the water as often as possible here in Okinawa. I'm heading off for vacation soon to a neighboring island so will also be shooting a lot there for the continued trials in this process.
