On September 25th, 2024. Officers from the Pleasant Prairie Police Department were notified that the Kenosha Police Department had been in pursuit with a vehicle headed their way. Shortly later, officers observed a vehicle matching the description traveling an estimated speed of 70 MPH in a 45 MPH zone and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle began to rapidly accelerate and change lanes. Officers attempted to box in the fleeing vehicle and were able to successfully deploy spike strips. One of the squad cars also ran over a spike strip, causing a tire to deflate. As officers attempted to box the vehicle in again, the driver (Dylonn) swerved and side swiped a squad car. An officer conducted a PIT maneuver which successfully directed the vehicle into a ditch. Dylonn, who was driving, exited from the passenger side of the vehicle and began fleeing on foot. The total distance of the pursuit was 3.8 miles.
Multiple officers engaged in a foot chase after Dylonn. Three of the officers tripped and fell while running after him. A taser was deployed but Dylonn kept running. Officers lost sight of Dylonn but later found him hiding behind a tree. He was advised that if he continued to run that canine would be deployed, and an officer made barking noises. Dylonn was secured in handcuffs and cooperative after that point. He denied medical services and stated that the taser prongs hit him, but that was not confirmed. One of the officers got a small cut on his face from a branch. Dylonn was escorted out of the woods and placed into a squad car. He was booked at the Kenosha county jail on multiple charges.
Inside of a bag that Dylonn had on his person, officers located:
A scale with a white powdery substance on top.
Approximately 8 clear plastic baggies.
A baby bottle filled with an unknown green fluid.
1.2 grams of a white rocky substance which later tested positive for Cocaine.
7.1 grams of a black rocky substance which officers believed to be black tar heroin, however, a test did not indicate a positive test for the presence of heroin.
Dylonn was found guilty for:
Vehicle Operator Fleeing or Eluding an Officer
1st-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
Resisting an Officer - Substantial Bodily Harm/Soft Tissue Injury
Possession of Cocaine
Hit and Run
2x - Felony Bail Jumping.
Dylonn was sentenced to 10 years in prison, 16 years of extended supervision. He was ordered to pay $8031 in restitution and $3900 in fines.
