Double play: Even the best tv producers can have an off day now and then. Here are two short-run, long-forgotten shows created by none other than Dick Wolf.
• Feds: This 1997 series was a sort of 'Law and Order' but focusing on the FBI. Blair Brown and Adrian Pasdar were the leads; the CBS show lasted a total of six episodes.
• South Beach: Filmed in Florida, this 1993 action-adventure hour used the familiar device of a criminal recruited by a government agency ('It Takes a Thief', 'Three', etc). Cast included Yancy Butler, John Glover, and Patti D'Arbanville. This one was just a smidge more successful: seven episodes were produced (though NBC only aired six).
