Circle Lake is a dramatic, cirque glacier-carved gem within the rugged Alpine Lakes Wilderness of central Washington State. Its crystal-clear water, bounded by massive rock walls towering high above, is stunning. We started our journey at the Cathedral Pass trailhead and then hiked to Peggy’s Pond. From there, the maintained trail ends and a scrambler's route begins, winding its way through sunny alpine meadows strewn with massive rock outcroppings. Overall, this is a fantastic destination to enjoy superb mountain scenery. Circle Lake is truly another prime example of what makes hiking in the Pacific Northwest so very special.
