Here's an Easter time ad for Carvel that features a line-up of singing dolls based on their famous ice cream cakes: Cookie Puss, Cookie Chick (who sings lead), Hug Me the Bear, and of course, Fudgie the Whale. I don't think I've seen this one on YT before, but I could be wrong. Since it was on the same recording, I threw on another ad that I have seen before, with CP and Tom Carvel himself providing the commentary as a little girl kisses her Fudgie doll and goes boom. These were recorded in April 1985.
I don’t know that it’s modern video technology allowing us to clearly see the arm up Cookie Chick’s butt; I’m guessing it was fairly noticeable even back then. Same goes for Mr. Puss, who appears to have a flesh-colored nutsack in the opening seconds.
