These commercials for Post Cereals (which I believe were created in 1971) are unusual in that most of the breakfast items seen were never put into production. So if you have fuzzy memories of enjoying Road Runner Beep Beep, Dennis’ Peanut Puffs, or Casper Ghosties, sorry, they’re as manufactured as these odd storyboard ads. (Maybe there was a tryout somewhere, but I can’t find any record of it.)
Of course, Cocoa Pebbles and Fruity Pebbles did make the cut, debuting in October of ‘71, and are currently the longest-running cereals based on a television show.
