Along with recordings such as Band Aid’s “Do They Know It’s Christmas” and USA For Africa’s “We Are The World”, “Nacht Im Wind” was made to support charities in Africa. All the artists were German and the disc reached #3 on the German singles’ chart.

The recording was also issued as a 7 inch single with a different picture sleeve, which is shown in the middle of this video.
