The London Boys were Edem Ephraim and Dennis Fuller. Growing up in the UK, they relocated to Germany in the early 80s and lived near Hamburg. Their music career took off under the tutelage of Ralf René Maué and he signed them to Germany’s Teldec label in 1986. “I’m Gonna Give My Heart” was their debut single but it didn’t chart.
Chart activity picked up for the duo with the release of their first album, “The Twelve Commandments Of Dance” in 1988. The album went to #2 in the UK and spawned the hit singles, “Requiem” (UK #4, Germany #27) and “Harlem Desire” (UK #17). “Dance Dance Dance” was also a track on this album but didn’t chart when released as a 45 in Germany.
Once their popularity took off in the UK, “The Twelve Commandments Of Dance” album was released there with a track lineup that included another big UK hit, “London Nights”.
Tragically, the duo were both killed in a car accident in the Austrian Alps in January 1996.
