Bad Boys Blue was formed in the summer of 1984 by German producer Tony Hendrik and his lyricist wife Karin van Haaren. The initial line up of the trio comprised Trevor Taylor, John McInerney and Andrew Thomas.
Their second single, “You’re A Woman”, reached #8 in Germany (22 weeks on the chart) and #1 in Austria. Both “L.O.V.E. In My Car” and “You’re A Woman” were featured on the group’s debut album, “Hot Girls, Bad Boys”, which reached #50 on the German album chart.
With numerous line-ups, the trio had a 20 year chart run in Germany and 17 of their recordings made the singles’ chart there. Even though their songs were in English, the group has had no chart showing in the UK but did reach #81 on the US Hot-100 with “Save Your Love” in 1993.
