Merry Christmas everyone, here’s another one almost in the books. Hope all of you that have kids have a great tomorrow morning.
We just entertained family who left.
I think my favorite Christmas song is Ray Conniff’s 12 Days of Christmas. Take a close listen to this, it’s quite amazing how it was recorded, and how it comes together. This is how I remember Christmas music growing up.
I also grew up playing Atari and here’s the Atari Video Music from 1977. I bought this a while ago on eBay and it needs a new power supply only because the cord had gone bad on the original and shorted out.
Takes a left and right stereo audio input, and then outputs video to a channel 3 RF signal. Several different video modes, and while I did go through them on this video, there is variability with the knobs, which I did not fully demonstrate.
The idea here is to play this on TV with your music to have a party effect. And it is a party effect and pretty good for what it is!
It’s my understanding the guts of this are essentially an Atari 2600, and you probably could get a cartridge that would do the same thing, but without the audio inputs.
Paired tonight with my Pioneer SX-1050.
