Most people don’t quit because their hair has no potential. They quit because they hit the awkward phase and don’t know what’s normal.
One good wash. A few frustrating ones.
So you start changing products. Rewashing early. Overcomplicating everything. Or straightening “just for now.”
That’s not forcing your curls.
That’s not giving your hair enough stability to show you what it can actually do.
Forcing looks different.
It’s trying to manufacture a curl pattern that isn’t naturally there.
It’s copying routines meant for tighter curls.
It’s believing more effort equals tighter curls.
Before you assume it’s not working, ask yourself the real questions.
Discouragement usually means you’re in the messy middle - not that your curls don’t have potential.
