If your curls aren't lasting past day one this summer, the fix is simpler than you think — stop layering your styling products.
Most people are using a leave-in, a cream, and a gel. Your conditioner already handled moisture on wash day. After that, you only need two things:
✨ A prep product with heat protection
✨ A gel for hold
In summer, extra moisture in your styling layer works against you — it breaks down in humidity, extends your dry time, and is usually why your curls aren't lasting.
Here's what to look for in both:
✨ Anti-humidity ingredients — these help results last in any climate, not just humidity
✨ Heat and UV protection — can be in your prep, your gel, or both. Some gels have it built-in so you only need one product.
