What began as a quick visit to Nan Province on the Thai-Lao border instead unfolded into an unplanned journey deep into the jungle, every step revealing more hidden secrets of the forest, the food, and the people who live in remote isolation. To find the best local cuisine- always our mission- it meant going from plane to van to bike to water buffalo, sleeping outdoors in a rice field, detouring for a few stitches and coming face-to-face with the power of the jungle to find what would become one of the best dinners we've ever had.
