In this video I continue to explore a grip that is not used in Aikido or other weapons based martial arts. I am curious to know why it is not used and does it have any potential? This way of holding the Jo could possibly open doors to alternative parries, strikes and transitions.

My background is Iwama style Aikido, however in this video I give my own thoughts and opinions, which are not representative of anyone else or any particular style.
