Songs I Like Past 2010, part 1 of 4
I've often been asked if I like any current popular songs, and the answer is "yes" but very limited since I don't really listen to the radio anymore, and most of the time I hear these newer songs either from a movie or TV show. For this week, I'm doing something different and post some of these newer songs (but they're hardly "new" anymore, LOL), starting with this awesome song by English singer-songwriter Adele, which sounds like a mix of dark blues and a rousing gospel tune. "Rolling In The Deep" went to #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 2011 and was also a #1 song on the Adult Contemporary chart. The song was a worldwide hit, going to #1 in Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, and Switzerland. In the UK, the song went to #2, and also at #2 in Ireland and Scotland. There's a great music video for this song directed by Sam Brown, which features hundreds of glasses vibrating to the beat of drum.
