In acceptance and commitment therapy, your self-as-context, that is to say who you are, is the vessel of your experience. It's so easy for us to get caught up in the content of who we are: I'm a social worker, I'm six feet tall, I'm a Leafs fan (don't hate). The list can go on and on. Recognizing that you are the context, not the role you play in your life can be a liberating process.
