KULT News witnessed our first total solar eclipse in Bloomington, IN on April 8, 2024 so we audited while we were there and found traveling prophets and lying bankers. Of course, as always, someone called rhe cops on us.
The question is, would local law enforcement recognize and respect our right to record in public or would they make fools of themselves?

Laws may vary but, generally speaking, in the United States, if you are in public you are legally able to photograph whatever you can see. Simply put, your eyes can’t be trespassed. Obviously there are some restrictions on this (i.e., bathrooms, dressing rooms, most courtrooms, locker rooms, etc.) but very few when you are in public. If you can see it, you can shoot it (this rule only applies to cameras.) This is not legal advice.
