I’ve yet to have a proper playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077, and not-so-coincidentally, I’ve also yet to have a properly made Johnny Silverhand cocktail. Lucky for me, Luke, who’s been following along off-stream for a hot minute, popped onto the show on the same day I got a case of Mexican lager that was perfect for a riff inspired by that famous rockerboy living on in my cybertronic head.
Our take on the recipe tries to incorporate a dark beer gradient floated on top of the drink with a split of Mexican lager and my personal favorite beer, a dark imperial milk porter with prominent decadent spice flavors. The lager calls back to Johnny’s resting place in Mexico City, while the porter pulls the whole thing darker, richer, and a little more dangerous.
Then came the final homage: a flaming lime wheel with spicy dried pepper dropped overtop. Maybe it’s a reference to the attack on Arasaka Tower, or maybe it’s a nod to the spice of a life well lived. Either way, Johnny Silverhand deserves nothing less than a drink with tequila, beer, fire, and a little bit of rebellion.

Johnny Silverhand 🔥🤘
▷ 2 oz (60 ml) Blanco Tequila (Rock N Roll)
▷ 1 bsp (5 ml) Agave Nectar
▷ 2 to 3 dashes of Bitters (Angostura) @angosturahouse
▷ Top with Beer Mix (Tecate Mexican Lager + New Trail Brewing Co. "Sticky" Imperial Milk Porter) @USATecate @newtrailbrewingco.8821
Method: Stir all except the beers, and strain over ice. Float the beer mix on top if possible.
Garnish: Expressed Orange Peel + 151 Proof Rum-soaked Dried Lime Wheel + Bird's Eye Chili
