With Day 1 our of the way I realised that I now needed to conquer the 5 in 5 challenge! I had been so worried about whether I could actually make it through Day 1 that I hadn't really allowed my thoughts to turn to the rest of the week. The forecast wasn't great and, as Scar House reservoir is a fair distance from Leeds, I went for an early start again so that I could get round and drive back in time for Poppy's Year 6 school meeting.
I was feeling slightly better than expected... Most likely because when I have taken on back-to-back challenges in the past then I haven't been shovelling pain killers, which no doubt added to me aching less than I usually would the day after a marathon! My tooth still hurt, but less than it had the day before, and I set off feeling optimistic. Those first few miles are always tough but after a while your body remembers that it can run, despite it not really wanting to!
This video tells the story of Day 2 of my 5 in 5 challenge.
