- Hello everybody! In today's car commercial of the past, we have a Pontiac LeMans commercial from 1988, similar to the one I uploaded a week and a half ago. This vehicle was rebadged as a Pontiac LeMans, from Daewoo, and sold in North America as well as New Zealand as a captive import from the model years of 1988 to 1993 for the particular generation of the LeMans. Now, this model LeMans came in either a 3 door subcompact, or a 4 door sedan variant. This vehicle came equipped with a 1.5 Liter, Four Cylinder, Engine, pushing out only 74 Horsepower. This vehicle only came in a Front Wheel Drive layout, and was offered in two transmission types: a 4 speed manual, a 5 speed manual, or a 5 speed automatic transmission. Also, if you notice in this car commercial, the Pontiac LeMans featured only one side view mirror on the drivers side! Government rules stated that a small motor vehicle needed a minimum of only 1 side view mirror on the driver's side, but you could order your Pontiac LeMans with an additional side view mirror also if you wished. The MSRP of the base model version of this car was $5799.
