Hello everyone to another car commercial of the past! Here in todays commercial, the 1989 Ford Probe GT is featured. Let's get into the specifications of the vehicle shall we?
The Ford Probe was a coupe-hatchback based on a vehicle platform from Mazda. The Probe GT was powered by a turbocharged 2.2 Liter 145 Horsepower, SOHC 4-cylinder engine that produced 190 LB-FT of torque. The first generation of the Probe appeared in 1989 and lasted until 1992 .
The GT was the top of the line trim for the Probe, but it came with two trims that classed below it. The GL base model Probe came with a 2.2 Liter, 110 Horsepower, 4 cylinder SOHC engine that produced 130 LB-FT of torque (This Engine like the Turbo, was from Mazda.) The midline LX trim of the Probe came with a 140 Horsepower, V6 engine at 160 LB-FT of torque, the V6 engine from Ford being known as the "Vulcan."
