On July 24, 2022, officers responded to a traffic crash on Frederick Douglass Boulevard. A female driver attempted to pass multiple vehicles on a two-lane road and, upon seeing an oncoming car in its proper lane, swerved to avoid a collision, lost control, and struck a tree. Upon initial contact, officers determined the vehicle was unregistered and the woman provided a false name and identification. She then became uncooperative and agitated during the encounter. This is body cam footage of the events that followed.
