On April 30, 2025, security officers working at the Youngs Park Water Festival received a report about a woman near the pond who was possibly using drugs. With more than 300 people attending the event, including LCPS fourth-grade students, teachers, and parents, officers attempted to calm the woman down and asked her to leave peacefully. The situation quickly escalated when she began acting erratically near the water, resisted officers, and had to be restrained. This is body cam footage of the events that followed.
