(maybe flashing lights idk it's making me sick anyway)
+Sorry to the 5,000 people who subscribed for sand and star facts, my true calling is still unethical ender dragon experiments...
In a previous video(youtube.com/watch?v=LABTgD0aay8) I showed off that the dragon's Y acceleration becomes uncapped as long as it's exactly over its current target position. Just 1 tick of this was kinda boring though, so here's what it looks like if you do it 10 times!
If you wanna know why/how this worked, I explain it a bit in the description of the first video. I'm again using the strafe phase(via shooting a crystal), since it lets you control the dragon's exact target position using your own exact position. That way as long as I keep my X/Z position exactly the same as the dragon's, it'll All Just Work. The only difference is now I'm re-aligning myself every other tick to get the boost multiple times(via the handy-dandy suspiciously placed boats). Mayyybe the most precise 20 seconds of minecraft you'll see for the rest of the year
Still probably not useful for any real TAS, but very silly, and definitely quite the knowledge and patience test for me... Also I guess it's actually 11 ticks now that I'm counting, but whatever!!!! Happy late christmas? happy early new year? happy 7 years since i got cringe hdwgh wr?! happy aka i've been obsessed with speedrunning this game for 1/3+ of my life? yikes idk byeeeeeeeeee
extra! extra! Free Float Boat Rant::::
Initially, I was hoping to just place a boat at each exact target position. That way placing them and "warping" to each one would be super easy/free. But unfortunately the positions were wayyyy to close together, so I settled with placing the boats off to the side and letting their dismount position align me instead. This only lets you re-align every other tick tho which is sad, since you have to unpress crouch between each one. Which, btw, was not something I realized until I TAS'd it twice already!! I was so pleased I got all the boats fit for every tick too... (each boat has to be both more than 1.575m from other boats, and 1.1875m from any place you have to stand, but they dismount you in a square so it somehow """worked""". It's easy for how it is in this vid tho.) tbh I was surprised using boats worked at all since client LOVES to round entity angles/positions to super coarse values(360/256°, 1/4096m), and riding a boat transfers those values both to you, AND back to the server, ruining any precise positioning/dismount yaws. But by some stroke of luck this never has time to update if you enter/exit the boat on the same tick. So that's cool. Prolly a billion other things I could blab about too but i'm tire and this is long enough, so that's future me's problem ^_^
