In the last video, we created a fence for the tenoning jig.
Now, we’ll add a stop system. This will let us cut both sides of our tenon—or the full width of a mortise—without removing the stock from the fence.

We’ll use a t-track and a sliding wood cover carved on the table saw to fit snugly over the top. For this, we only need two 2-inch pieces. We’ll drill holes using the t-track screw holes as guides.
The pointer? It’s a simple 6d nail. After cutting a small block on the table saw, we’ll hammer the nail into place and attach the block to the cradle.

The t-track will then mount onto the block we added to the base, secured with a couple of screws.

To protect the fence, I positioned the fence far enough from the blade and drove a nail in front of the back stop, preventing any future movement.

The stops represent both sides of my board. Once I’ve lined up the blade with my marks, I can make quick, repeatable cuts with ease.
