In the last video I talked about how we were going to build tracks for the tenoning jig build. To make them, I used the simple flip method on the table saw to cut a few evenly spaced channels. I made sure to do this before separating the base and the carriage that will ride on it, so everything lines up perfectly.

I’ll add some steel rods that will slide in the channels, letting the carriage slide back and forth nice and smooth, with no side-to-side wiggle. To lock the cradle to the base, I cut a t-track down the center—also with the flip method—to make sure it’s dead center. The cradle locks super tight and unlocks with just a twist of the knob.
