Holmdel, New Jersey - On November 17, 2023, at 0110 hours, officers were in a marked vehicle at an intersection and while waiting for the light to turn green, they observed a white Mercedes with New Jersey plates traveling north on Hwy 35, disregarding a red stop signal and speeding through the intersection. The officers paced the vehicle at 90 miles per hour before initiating a motor vehicle stop on Hwy 35. The body-worn and dash cameras were activated during the stop.
The driver, identified as a female, exhibited slurred speech and the odor of alcoholic beverages. She was asked to exit the vehicle for field sobriety testing and HGN test. The female was handcuffed and transported to headquarters for processing. At headquarters, after being read her Miranda Rights and consenting to chemical testing, she provided breath samples revealing a BAC of 0.132.
