In this video I'm going to show you how to engrave a variety of military tags, dog tags, dog bone tags, and round tags in stainless steel and anodized aluminum using the xTool F1 ULTRA. I'll go in depth into the setup in xTool Creative Space and all of my material settings for the various engravings.

I always recommend starting with a material test array when working with new materials or materials with different finishes. For example, as you will see in this video you can get stainless steel military tags / dog tags in a variety of finishes such as black, gold, polished, bare, etc. Each one will look different with the exact same settings.

After engraving the military tags on the xTool F1 ULTRA, I will walk you through the various dog bone shaped tags that are perfect ID tags for your dog and would make a great product to personalize for other pet owners. Finally, in this video I will show you some examples of engraving round stainless steel tags with the xTool F1 ULTRA. These can be found in various sizes in both metric and imperial. If you are using imperial sizes my round fixture works well:

For these polished stainless steel round tags, I prefer to use the IR fiber laser to mark them. The result is a nice sharp engraving and if you adjust your image properly you can get a very bold and beautiful mix of gold, brown, and silver markings against the stainless steel.
