While in the Southern States Feed and Seed Farm Supply store today, I ran across these two hand scoops which works good for cleaning out ashes. Since the bottom of the Weber Smokey Mountain is rounded you need a tool which is rounded. These two scoops have curved sides and work perfectly to get this done. The galvanized Ashe Can shown unfortunately came from a local privately owned whosale discount store named Tomlinson's Wholesale, but should be available online.
