Autumn is well and truly here! In this video I go exploring a local woodland focussing on picking out the details and autumn colours.
I've been sitting at home and fretting over the fact that it seems like a lot of photographers have already scouted out and picked their locations for bagging some great autumn images. I'm fretting because I haven't...
Instead of sitting at home dwelling on this I decided to go out to a local woodland for a walk with the idea that I would stick to the brief of capturing autumn colour rather than a grand autumn vista.
On the walk I really started to notice the oranges, yellows, and reds that stood out from the almost monochrome greens and greys that are still dominating under the canopy of the trees. This was eye opening, and meant that I had a main focal point, or feature if you like, in those colours, and that is what of my influenced my images.
I enjoy shooting local woods, but still find it challenging, but that is what prompted me to return. My second video where I go and practice photography in the woods closest to my house remains my most popular video, and most viewed video so far... I'm not sure why, as I feel that my videos, and my photography to some extent, have come a long way since then, but I would be interested to hear your thoughts about my content and if you like the way things are going.
