Peter looks at article one: “I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.” He laments that the Apostles Creed does not mention scripture like the Nicene Creed does: “For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.” Peter points out that America’s founding principles with Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine have a dangerous tendency to go straight into communist thought. Abraham Lincoln made sure they did. America helped fund the Bolshevik revolution and then went into World War II to defend “Uncle Joe Stalin” and the communist Soviet Union which was founded on Karl Marx and Charles Darwin. Notre Dame university then gets infiltrated by the likes of Saul Alinsky and after Vatican II theistic evolution becomes the official teaching of Notre Dame. Hopefully the new Pope Leo XIV will defend article one of the Apostles Creed in light of Scripture and reject theistic evolution.
