These brute beasts were a result of false teachers and prophets leading the people to disbelieve or ignore the lessons of the past: the fallen angels, the old world being destroyed by water for its sex and violence. Then finally the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Peter H. erred by including Sodom and Gomorrah in the doctrines that Notre Dame’s theistic evolution has turned into a myth. Notre Dame does teach it was in fact destroyed but it fails to learn to hate and condemn sodomy from its example.
