Wicked Twister opened at Cedar Point in 2002. Built by Intamin as part of their Impulse Coaster line, it was the first in the "Twist & Twist" model range, featuring dual twisting vertical spikes. It remained the only coaster of this model until Legendary Twin Dragon at Chongqing Sunac Land opened in February 2021. A few months later in September 2021, Wicked Twister gave its final rides and was closed to make way for the Cedar Point Boardwalk.
