Kings Dominion announced on February 8, 2019 that Volcano: The Blast Coaster would not be opening for the 2019 season and would be removed.
This is a commemorative on-ride video for the worlds first launched inverted roller coaster. While not the best invert, to me, it was a fun ride and is definitely one of my favorites. It's always a shame to see good rides get torn down, especially when they have some kind of historical significance.
The final shot of the ride at the end of the video was filmed in 2004 during my first trip to the park when I first got to ride Volcano. The rest of the shots were filmed during the park's 2015 season.
