The Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens Williamsburg opened on June 15, 1984 and closed on September 7th, 2009, thrilling riders for 25 years. The second successful suspended coaster opened by Arrow, opening about 2 months after XLR-8 at Six Flags AstroWorld. These new suspended coasters made several improvements from the original Bat suspended coaster at Kings Island that ensured the ride lasted several years for thrill seekers to enjoy.
