Scorpion at Busch Gardens Tampa opened on May 16, 1980 and closed on September 8th, 2024. It served Busch Gardens and thrilled riders for 44 years. It's compact size made it a great first roller coaster for beginning thrill seekers while simultaneously being a fun little ride for veteran coaster enthusiasts. Built by Schwarzkopf under the Silverarrow model, it is unique in being the only the only permanently installed coaster of it's model. This classic coaster will be missed.
