Yes, I know I am going against the grain here, but I need to make this public service announcement about sodium. Especially since I have seen patients who have fainted from low sodium levels in their blood (hyponatremia) because they were trying to go without any sodium in their diets because they were told it was bad. There was even a recent client whose father almost died from a stroke that the neurologist said was caused by being told to be on a salt free diet from a clinic he went to.
This is not a black and white issue.
In the video I explain why sodium is important and how to use it properly.
The daily allowance of about 2300mg a day (about a teaspoon) is important for your health, and if you drink a lot of water, or are sweating, you may need more.
