Who were the spies in the episode The Spies? We saw one spy, Elia Kane, at the start, but there didn’t seem to be any other obvious spies in the rest of the story. That got fans wondering if the Armorer or some other Mandalorian characters might be spies amongst our heroes, but the season finale didn’t reveal anything of the sort. The title is likely referring to the Mandalorians who scout out Mandalore to see if they can return home. The Old Testament in the Bible has a story about twelve Israelite spies who investigated their home after their enslavement in Egypt. They find it to be occupied by the Canaanites, and have to fight to reclaim the promised land. The Mandalorians are in a similar situation. They are forced into exile by the Empire. A group of scouts, or spies, return to investigate their home. They find it occupied by the same enemy, and fight to reclaim it.
