Two companies contacted me and sent me Air Fryers wanting me to tell you how wonderful their Air Fryers are to you, my subscribers. I decided to put them up against each other and see what one is the best of the two.
Both of them had that "smell"
That kind of bad rubber plastic smell from China Appliances.
I hand washed them and then put them through the dishwasher and that helped with the smell.
I looked up on the internet for answers about that smell... I found two reasons.
#1 They use different chemicals when making plastics, but the smell does dissipate.
#2 Everything from China is shipped in containers. Those containers are gassed to prevent unwanted insects from invading the USA.
I suspect both reasons are true.
I look forward to making a baked potato in these and a twice baked potato in these.
I liked the controls of both Air Fryers.
I liked the looks of the Baguette Air Fryer better.
I like the performance of the Omorc Air Fry MUCH BETTER and look forward to using it in the future.
The Omorc also had vents or slits in the side wall of the inner pot that you cook everything in, the smaller Baguette had no vents only the drain holes in the bottom of the inner pot that both have.
