Umm umm good, you will love this baked cheesy spaghetti. It is almost like a lasagna and will make you smile!
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon salt
8 ounces spaghetti pasta
1/2 cup shredded American cheese
1/2 cup shredded mild cheddar and Monterey Jack blend
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 egg
1/2 stick butter, melted
Seasoned salt
Black pepper
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Bring 3 quarts of water and a teaspoon of salt to boil in a large pot.
Break the spaghetti in half and add it to the water.
Cook uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring often.
Strain the spaghetti and rinse under hot water.
Place half the spaghetti in the bottom of a 8 X 8-inch baking pan, then top with a half of the American cheese.
Add half the cheddar and Monterey jack blend. Make layers with the remaining spaghetti, American and cheddar blend.
Add seasoned salt and pepper.
In a bowl, whisk together the whipping cream and egg.
Pour the cream mixture on top of the spaghetti, then pour on the butter. Sprinkle on seasoned salt and pepper to taste.
Bake the spaghetti for about 35 minutes until the center is set.
Let sit for 10 minutes, then serve.
Serves 4
