Team: Xiahou Yuan, Taigong Wang, Zhao Yun.
Yes, this is the original Warriors Orochi 3 without the Ultimate part. This version of the game looks quite different when speedran since it simply have far fewer glitch tactics at your disposal.
Speaking of glitch tactics, I was inspired to do this run after messing around with a new glitch that lets you clip through slanted floor, f.e. stairs. The normal route that's used in WO3U is impossible in WO3 since the garrison gate clip doesn't work, so you can instead use this angled floor breach to save a little time.
This is not an optimal run by any means - I haven't finished grinding my team to perfection in this game - so it could mostly be just considered a demonstration of the fastest (?) route. For example, Xiahou Yuan's weapon properties are not completely optimized, nor is he lv. 100, so he could do more damage. Meanwhile, the other two team mates don't have Agility 10 on their weapon, so their respective glitch tactics could still be a little faster.
0:03 - I went with three Dynasty-characters so that I can do a bit of horse boosting at the start.
0:15 - here's the new glitch. So far, it can only be done with Taigong Wang or (in Ultimate) Motonari Mori. With these two characters, interrupting any of their attacks where they move forward with their special makes them zip backwards. The amount zipped is proportional to how much they move during the attack / how long you watch the animation.
So, if you do Taigong Wang's sprint attack down the stairs, then at the end of the animation do his special, he will zip backwards into the stairs, going out of bounds. From out of bounds, you can reach the east side of the level without having to go all around the south loop.
0:23 - once on the other side, there's no more musou to do horse boosting, so I switch to the second fastest movement tactic with Xiahou Yuan.
0:30 - next obstacle is this huge wall, so I use Zhao Yun for his solo high jumping talents to get up there early.
0:35 - I do a small fumble with character switching here, but the upcoming Xiahou Yuan movement went so well that it sort of evens out.
0:43 - one final obstacle is to get into Kiyomori Taira's garrison early. Without infinite jump, I use the box wall clip that was mostly just a novelty in WO3U. And that's pretty much the run.
