Team: Benkei, Yukimura Sanada, Muneshige Tachibana
This is a level with a long list of targets you have to defeat. I picked Benkei to my team for his speed movement. Setting up angled glitch with Muneshige Tachibana helps a bit for reaching the southern areas before the game script opens them up for you. Yukimura Sanada is mostly here since his air special works very smoothly with angled glitch, plus his basic attacks work decently well for this type of basic officer hunting.
0:07 - I take the opportunity to start the angled glitch very early on in the level.
0:21 - dialogue skipping is necessary to speed up the next part of the level. Also, defeating the two officers on the path here is necessary.
0:38 - Zhang Liao is one of the targets in the level, and he is quite troublesome to defeat quickly. He starts from a higher area, and he is scripted to jump down and chase after you once you are close enough. However, this jump only happens after he makes a dialogue line, so you don't want it to be delayed by any other dialogue lines, hence the dialogue skipping earlier.
It would be faster to defeat Zhang Liao by going by another route to the north, but then you wouldn't be able to defeat the two officers on the path until later. Another option I had in mind was to take the south route, skip the two officers, trigger Zhang Liao's dialogue and then quickly backtrack and defeat the two officers while waiting for him to jump down. It's really hard to say what might be the fastest option here, and if my route has one potential point of improvement, it might be this one.
In this current run I defeat the two officers at the gate (since they're also necessary) and simply wait for Zhang Liao to come.
1:10 - from there, I slip under the gate and make my way to south and west where some reinforcements spawn. It's hard to navigate this part since you can get stuck on a number of things. Sima Zhao is the only important target out of the newly appearing enemy group.
1:35 - I fail at using Yukimura's air special to get over the slippery collision (since it kills your regular air momentum and necessitates a slow slide downwards otherwise). So that's a few seconds time loss.
1:46 - the three officers at this gate are also important targets. I then slip past another gate and continue south...
2:00 - I enter the final fortress and defeat Nagamasa Azai early since I'm in the neighborhood.
2:11 - the level's final target Ma Chao appears to the south-east corner. Some dialogue skipping may be required to get him to appear without losing time.
Overall, the level could certainly be faster. Especially the attacking is slightly imprecise, and I take an extra hit to defeat some of the targets. Perhaps it's one to revisit some day in the future.
