Why do a vPub?
Well, the truth is everything has gone up. So, a better question might be: Has whisky gone up higher than everything else and is it ahead of inflation rates?
Since way back in 2020, and for entirely different reasons, I’ve kept a note of retail prices for regular, core-ranges. I would, once-upon-a-time, use these spreadsheets to find where the value lay. That was pretty handy data to have lying around. Because it means that we can plug in today’s prices and see where we’re at.
Exactly how much more are we being asked to pay for standard core ranges in 2025?
As always, there are surprises.
Also, the fact there’s a vPub this week might also be a surprise, I suggested there may not be a session this week due to half-term. Well, we didn’t book any trips away. So I’m here. Why not open the vPub and have a good old deep dive into how much we’re paying?
