Finally made it to the UK! I took my wife and myself on a very-delayed honeymoon for a 9-day trip to all parts of England, a small piece of Wales, and eventually made it to Edinburgh, Scotland. Follow along to see what it these places are ACTUALLY like.
9th destination - Statford-upon-Avon (birthplace of Shakespeare). My wife, who is a theater-musical teacher in the USA has been to the Shakespearean Festival (in Cedar City, Utah) numerous times, has watched countless plays, but has never been to his birthplace. While this was not on our original itinerary, once I remembered about Shakespeare's birthplace - I quickly adjusted my plans and made it happen. Unfortunately, it wasn't the "best" time to go and we made it a few hours after closing but walking around was still a treat for myself and my wife. She loved every minute and can now tell her students that she has actually been to the very location where Shakespeare once lived.
