↡ Camping in the Lake District ↡
We spent four days in our VW campervan in the Lake District over the August bank holiday weekend. It was the perfect opportunity to explore new locations further afield, like the coast of St. Bees.
Our first calling point was St. Bees, a remote bouldering location hidden between the vast Atlantic Ocean and an imposing cliffside. From here, we camped our way back down through the Lake District, finding places to hike in the day and places to swim in the early evening.
We've grown fond of Buttermere and the nearby Borrowdale Valley, but our trip finished in Great Langdale, the first place we ever visited in the Lake District in our van. We can't pass through the valley with staying for at least one night.
