First session back on Yorkshire gritstone after our Fontainebleau. On a lovely bright day, especially for the middle of October, Hannah and I opted for a short trip down the road to Caley because Hannah was under the weather but still wanted some fresh air. I really want to get more done at Caley and Almscliff this grit season, and I tend to struggle on some of Caley's technical routes. It was a nice surprise to top out Creme Egg Eliminate on my second go, and it probably helped that I was full of confidence after getting over my head game issues and committing to the jump on The Pinch Dyno just half an hour earlier. Pancake Day was the first route to get done because James had shown me how to dyno past the high heel mantle, which was a very un-James-like thing to do.
